Dear Inventor,
Action Gaming is always interested in discussing new game ideas. However, we would first like to make you aware of some of the processes, challenges and realities of introducing games into the casino marketplace. It is very difficult to invent an entirely new game concept and sometimes even more challenging to get the game developed in the highly regulated and competitive gaming industry. We will endeavor to provide you with candid and earnest input for any games we discuss.
A key to successfully selling any game concept is to get to the point on your game idea, why players will enjoy it and how it will make money for the casinos. Our primary interest is in games that are new video poker games or ways to improve video poker. Key to a game's success is the ability for players to quickly understand the new game concept and the ability to play quickly with few decisions. Video poker is a low profit margin game for casinos, where volume of play is critical in making an acceptable return on investment for the casinos.
We prefer to only see games that have patents pending and are generally not interested in filing, or pursuing, patents for inventors. Without this preparation, the likelihood of successfully selling your idea decreases significantly. A final, painful reality is that the time to get a game developed, approved and deployed in the gaming industry is very long. It is common to take up to two years from game inception to deployment. I know these are harsh facts, but we believe it is important that the realities of game invention are made clear.
You should be aware that Action Gaming does not sign Confidentiality Agreement or Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's). Again, a patent filing is not only the best way to validate the value of an idea, but also to protect you, the inventor. If you feel that an NDA is absolutely necessary, it is best to seek support for your idea or invention elsewhere. We would prefer to only see games that have patents filed, working demonstrations and validated game mathematics. These stand a significantly higher chance of success.
Thank you for your interest in Action Gaming and we wish you the best of luck with your ideas!
